What is EMS

What Is Electro Muscle Stimulation

Electro Muscle Stimulation (EMS), also known as neuromuscular electrical stimulation, is a technique that uses electrical impulses to stimulate muscle contractions. The electrical impulses mimic the signals that the central nervous system sends to muscles during regular voluntary muscle contractions.

EMS has been used in various fields, including physical therapy, rehabilitation, sports training, and fitness. The electrical stimulation can target specific muscle groups or larger muscle areas depending on the desired outcome.

The electrical impulses delivered through EMS devices can cause muscle fibers to contract, leading to various physiological effects. These effects include muscle strengthening, decreased fat mass, increased blood flow, improved muscle endurance, enhanced muscle recovery, and potentially pain relief.
